American Engineering Testing (AET) is an employee-owned, consulting engineering company. We provide geotechnical, environmental, and materials engineering and assessment as well as building forensics, nondestructive testing (NDT), and pavements field and laboratory services to public and private sector clients in a broad spectrum of industries. We have locations across the United States.

AET has built a reputation on expertise and quality by focusing on individual solutions for our clients. We provide the exacting attention of our principal engineers, staff engineers, certified technicians and engineers in training. Many of our senior staff have decades of practical and academic experience in their areas of specialization. We also have access to an extraordinary accumulation of site data and construction history in the Upper Midwest, which can reduce costs and increase efficiencies on many projects.

As a consulting engineering company and independent laboratory, quality is the nature and purpose of AET’s services. We analyze, test, monitor and inspect in order to document, verify and improve the design and construction effort. To that end, we are accredited by the AASHTO Materials Reference Laboratory (AMRL) to perform geotechnical and construction services in accordance with ASTM: E329. AET’s in-house QA/QC program allows systematic and rigorous audits of departments, offices, and labs on testing procedures, calibrations and test accuracy.
