Dongjin Semichem, a globally-recognized foaming agent manufacturing company, has been producing foaming agents since 1967 and is continuously developing new products. UNICELL, Dongjin Semichem's unique brand name for chemical foaming agents and foaming catalysts, is recognized internationally for its excellent quality and accounts for approximately 30% of the global market share.

UNICELL foaming agents are added to plastic or rubber and thermally decomposed or expanded at specific temperatures and pressures for specified durations to form fine cellular foam. This foam is structurally lightweight, thermally insulating, soundproof, elastic, and shock-absorbing. Accordingly, the material has a wide variety of applications, such as automotive and building interiors, shoes, wallpaper, flooring, packaging, and aviation components. UNICELL foaming agents are also expected to reduce the usage of major raw materials such as plastics and rubber. UNICELL foaming catalysts, which are either urea- or zinc-based, accelerate the chemical decomposition of foaming agents, thereby increasing production yield and lowering energy usage.
