North West Hydrogen Alliance

The North West Hydrogen Alliance is a key partner in Net Zero North West – the organization driving industrial decarbonization in the region, which aims to become the UK’s first net zero carbon industrial cluster by 2030.

A key part of the North West’s decarbonization approach is the work taking place to develop a hydrogen network in the region.

The North West of England is poised to lead the development of a hydrogen-based economy. It has the industry, infrastructure and assets needed to deliver real hydrogen projects. Hydrogen has been produced in the region for many years and several more production projects are underway.

The North West Hydrogen Alliance will:

- Bring together regional and national stakeholders, increasing public awareness of hydrogen

- Provide a prominent voice in the hydrogen debate through its experts and spokespeople

- Present a compelling case for the North West to receive the vital Government support needed to realize the benefits of hydrogen.
