P2 Science

We are a venture-backed, renewable specialty chemicals company, co-founded by Professor Paul Anastas, Head of the Center for Green Chemistry and Green Engineering at Yale University. We opened our first commercial manufacturing plant in CT in September 2018.

P2 Science has developed a set of unique, highly intensified, process technologies for converting renewable feedstocks—including vegetable oils—into high-value, specialty chemicals. These include flavor, fragrance and cosmetics ingredients. Many of our products are available today only from petrochemical sources. Among the first products being produced now by P2 at the CT manufacturing plant are vegetable-derived, cost-effective versions of current petrochemical fragrance ingredients.
