PetroFrontier Corp. (TSX-V: PFC) is a junior energy company currently focused on the development of its interests in the Cold Lake and Wabasca areas of Alberta. This development consists of the primary recovery of heavy oil utilizing conventional perforated wells (vertical and horizontal) and the intentional production of sand with the oil; a process referred to as Cold Heavy Oil Production with Sand or CHOPS. CHOPS development is not to be confused with the much more time and capital intensive process of Steam-Assisted Gravity Drainage or “SAGD”.
