Since S-OIL began its first commercial operation in May 1980, it has continuously expanded its facilities and diversified business operations to grow into an oil refining company integrating an oil refining-lubricant-petrochemical system.

In addition to oil refining business on the basis of stable crude oil imports under favorable conditions by maintaining a close partnership with oil producing country, S-OIL produces and supplies marine lubricants through the use of strength of lube base oil featuring .

S-OIL also operates a naphtha reforming plant and a BTX production plant to in order to create the added value of products, and with the completion of Xylene Center, the world's largest single-train para-xylene plant, the Company was able to secure the superior competitiveness in petrochemical downstream.
