The earnest support of everyone involved with Sakamoto Yakuhin Kogyo since its founding in 1947 has allowed the company to attain its present success. I would like to express my gratitude to all of you for this unflagging support.

The company got its start as a purveyor of chemical products. In 1953, we began production of glycerin, and since that time, we have made the production and marketing of glycerin our core business. At the same time, we have expanded our scope of activities to encompass the production and sale of food additives, cosmetics materials, epoxy resin modifying agents and flame retardants, as well as the sale of synthetic resin materials, and resin coloring and compounding.

We launched our overseas business activities when we established our Philippines plant in 1990 to ensure a stable supply of glycerin. We are considering using this plant as a springboard to expand our overseas operations and launch marketing activities to the United States.

We have three production bases in Japan: the Ako factory, the Senboku factory and the Daito factory. All of these plants implement environmental protection measures that conform to the needs of society.
