Semnan Soda Ash Company (SSACO) began building its factory on 5th November 2002 and was put in official operation by early 2006, with the production capacity of 700,000 tons per annum. Firm financial support from its shareholders and the professional group of qualified experts, besides the centralized and efficient management of the board of directors, has made SSACO the leading soda ash supplier in Iran as well as Middle Eastern countries. This company has also a strong distribution network inside and outside of the country. Moreover, by support of more than 140 domestic customers, the company has major export to more than 15 countries around the world. Therefore, SSACO has been accounted as one of the top exporters in Iran.

The annual capacity of Semnan Soda Ash Company (SSACO) is 700,000 metric tons, composed of both dense and light Sodium Carbonates; the production rate of each may vary flexibly according to the market demand. The raw materials used in this manufacturing plant are lime, salt and energy. Needless to say that this region enjoys copious amount of high capacity lime and salt mines belonging to SSACO. This company enjoys a committee of experienced experts in the fields of Hot End (batch processing system, furnace, forming process, forming machines, internal treatment, and annealing) and Cold End (inspection equipments, secondary processing, packaging, coatings, and ancillary processes). It also has a Research and Development "R&D" Department aimed at assuring better quality and consistent updating of the technology. The factory is located in Semnan province while its main customers are in Tehran and neighboring cities. Therefore, it enjoys the advantage of proximity to the consumption market. Sodium Carbonate Plant is fully automated and equipped with Distributed Control System (DCS) programmed with the latest software to control and guarantee products quality.
