Valent
Valent de México joined the agricultural business in Mexico in 1994, locating its headquarters in the City of Guadalajara, Jalisco and beginning the task of establishing itself in compliance with the country's regulations. It was not until the end of 1995 that the pyrethroid insecticides Fenpropatrin and Esfenvalerate began to be commercialized, discovered and patented by our parent company, Sumitomo Chemical Co. (SCC).
Today, the work philosophy based on the corporate slogan "Create hybrid chemistry for a better tomorrow" is focused on seeking to strengthen its business position taking into account the benefit that they bring to society. In the agricultural area, the participation of SCCit is also a success story; initiating a period of aggressive dedication to the investigation of new products and at the same time increasing its presence in crops such as cotton, rice and vegetables. Growth regulating insecticides and miticides are developed and launched on the market; likewise, they venture into the search for opportunities by acquiring companies; In 2000 SCC completely acquired the agricultural area of Abbott Laboratories and with it its line of biorational products and plant growth regulators.
The business that Valent de MéxicoIt has offered to the market is focused on two areas in which it has based its growth direction, products of chemical origin and biorational products (some of these certified for organic use) for markets and high value crops. Investment in research in these two areas has given Valent de México a privileged position as one of the first companies to offer both lines within its own product portfolio, characterized by its high level of specialization, where chemical products are found. Herald®, SumiAlpha®, Knack®, Tetrasan®, Clutch® and Venom® among others, and the biorational products DiPel®, XenTari®, DiTera®, Progibb®, CyStar® and ProTone®.
