Aminopolycarboxylic acid-type chelate (EDTA) Product Description StarTexTM PL EXTRA CONC. is the general purpose sequestering agent for calcium and magnesium hard water conditions. It is most economical because it has the greatest chelating power per dollar. StarTexTM PL EXTRA CONC. will also chelate small amounts of ferric iron, but StarTexTM PL EXTRA CONC. is generally preferred for iron because it gives stable chelates over a wider pH range. StarTexTM PL EXTRA CONC. is not stable in the presence of peroxides. Special Properties • High chelating values for calcium, copper, and magnesium • Very effective general-purpose chelate • Will chelate iron on pHs below 8.5 • Excellent chemical and thermal stabilities |
