Description
Duration: 2-4 hours (online or in class)
The Common Safety Orientation (CSO) will be the newest pre-site access requirement for all new contract workers at participating member work sites. PLEASE NOTE: This training requirement applies only to NEW workers. If you already have proof of OSSA Regional Orientation (ORO) and CSTS-09 certification, or OSSA Basic Safety Orientation (BSO), you may continue to have site access. Check with your site to verify their requirements.
Common Safety Orientation is approximately 4 hours in duration. It is an instructor led course and is intended to replace the current OSSA Regional Orientation (ORO) with CSTS-09 and OSSA Basic Safety Orientation (BSO) programs as pre-site access requirements for the four OSSA/ESC member sites.
Upon completion of the Common Safety Orientation Program a worker will be able to present their credential to any of the Oil Sands Safety Association Owner Member sites (Albian Sands Energy Inc., Canadian Natural Resources Ltd., Suncor Energy Inc., and Syncrude Canada Ltd.) as proof of completing the required pre-site access orientation.
Certified by Energy Safety Canada.
