GUL cement, also known as Portland Limestone Cement, offers the same level of performance and workability you expect from standard GU cement. Manufactured with quality limestone, GUL cement uses less clinker than the traditional manufacturing process and reduces CO2 emissions by 5 to 10 percent per tonne of cement. GUL cement's performance is proven, and we’ve used over 3 million metric tonnes of GUL cement across Canada over the past decade. You can be confident in its performance and feel good about reducing the carbon footprint in your community. Benefits when compared to GU cement: • Easy transition with little or no changes to production needed. • Produces similar results – strength, performance, workability and durability. • Provides a similar colour and aesthetic. • Reduces embodied carbon in concrete. • Slag, fly ash, or other supplementary cementitious materials can be used as usual to enhance performance and further reduce your carbon footprint. • Can be used in your mix with no other significant changes to meet CSA A23.1 requirements. |
