One of our core specialties, Chromech has extensive experience and knowledge with the design and manufacture of piping that can resist wear in highly abrasive flow. The most common application for this is oil sands slurry transport, but there are also many other applications that can demand this type of product. High Chrome White Iron Pipe - Piping that is precision fit with an internal liner of foundry cast high chrome white iron. This is by far the most effective option for wear resistant piping. Typically this type of piping lasts more than 5 times as long as more traditional wear piping options like chromium carbide overlay. In many cases we are seeing it last even 10 times as long, although it is dependent on geometry, flow, and other variables.
