The type DXS sucker rod is manufactured from AISI A-4330-M nickel-chromium-molybdenum alloy steel. Our normalized and tempered heat treatment is specially selected to maximize impact properties while increasing fatigue life. Formulated for deep, medium to heavily loaded, effectively inhibited wells, lightly corrosive wells. The DXS rod is suited for reciprocating lift and PCP (progressing cavity pump) applications. Our DXS rod is recommended when the type DS sucker rod loading exceeds recommended maximum allowable stresses. With a higher minimum tensile, the DXS can withstand higher stresses while still giving corrosion tolerance similar to the type DS sucker rod. All rods are shot peened per US Rod’s unique standards, improving corrosion and fatigue resistance.
