The optimal solution to the problem of removing large highly magnetic inclusions from the separated raw materials transported by a belt conveyor is the use of magnetic drive drums. The СМШ magnetic separator is designed to remove highly magnetic inclusions from the material flow transported by the belt conveyor in order to reduce the total iron content in the raw material and protect the downstream equipment from breakdowns and premature wear caused by the ingress of ferromagnetic bodies into the product flow. Magnetic separators of the СМШ series are installed instead of the existing drive drums of the conveyors. The material transported by the belt conveyor, when leaving the conveyor, falls into the area of the drum's magnetic field. Strongly magnetic particles are attracted to the drum surface through the belt and are carried under the conveyor for discharge. The non-magnetic component of the product continues to move along its natural path. Indices of magnetic induction up to 350 mT on the surface of the working area of the drum are sufficient to ensure high-quality extraction of large, highly magnetic impurities from the product flow. |
