Description
Triton is the world’s only wind and solar powered, intelligent autonomous vehicle that both sails and submerges for unparalleled data collection and intelligence gathering in some of the hardest-to-reach-places on the planet. Intelligently designed with advanced materials, Triton can be configured to carry an almost infinite variety of payloads to complete any mission.
The Triton offers industry-leading endurance and persistence because its inception was sparked by a quest to scavenge energy from the environment and maximize the efficiency of all onboard power systems. The power management system starts with harvesting wind energy for propulsion so it can preserve all of its power reserves for a full range of sensors and payloads. Proprietary solar deck panels quickly recharge large banks of rechargeable lithium batteries. All onboard sensors and equipment are constantly monitored for power consumption and operational health. This data allows the vehicle to automatically regulate and optimize the power distribution to the payloads and alert the user of any changes to the normal power state of the Triton.
The user can coordinate between multiple Triton vessels as well as between different manned and unmanned vehicles in different domains. Triton can serve as persistent ISR and cross-communications gateway for an array of critical air, surface and subsurface tasks. From the bottom of the ocean to satellites in space, the vehicle can provide an essential communications link – with payload and power capacity to accommodate a wide range of platforms and systems.
