The “ZQ” series of hydraulic power drill pipe tongs are designed for quick and safe making up and breaking out of drill pipe and drill collars. These power tongs are widely used in oil and gas drilling, in land and offshore operations around the world. The “ZQ” series tong is designed, manufactured and tested according to API 7K specifications. The ZQ203 drill pipe power tong comes with the following features: - The tong is open face, offering easy maneuvering and flexibility while operating. - Integrated hydraulic torque tong and bucking tong in one single structure eliminates the need for cat head, manual tongs and spinning chains. - The combined upper and lower tong structure avoids the possibility of bending the drill pipe under high torque application and prevents the pipe from slopping out of the spider or slips. - With dual hydraulic and pneumatic control systems, the tong enhances safety and ease of operations by combining control during pipe gripping, door opening and closing; also during the push and pull cylinder operation. - Automatic centering and gripping mechanism guarantees the reliable gripping of new and older joints. - Fit for frequent and long period of operations, with features that provide safety and save time. - Push and pull of the tong body is accomplished by the air cylinder action, instead of man power. - Simple mechanism to control torque and speed. Maximum torque attained on both forward and reverse directions. - Integrated air clutch allows shifting between high and low speeds without stopping the tong. - Integrated hydraulic lifting capabilities for tong height adjustment. |
