While highly compatible and effective with all types of water-based muds, PDS Super L has become the product of choice for oil-based muds. Depending upon the mud formulation, PDS Super L can improve the oil mud lubricity by over 50 percent. Some companies use it in this capacity merely as an “additive”. Others actually make it part of the blend, using as much as 50% of it in lieu of alpha olephins. Theoretically, you can create an oil based mud using this ingredient instead of the alpha olephins.

POLYMER PROTECTION - enables polymers to maintain structure and efficacy at high temperatures.

REDUCED BIT-BALLING - maintain ROP & the effectiveness of the drill bit by preventing build-up of material on the nozzles and between the teeth of the bit.
