Ammonium tetrafluoroborate is used in manufacturing of plastics as flame retardant, metallic plating, magnesium flux, soldering flux and are quenching for circuit breakers. It is also being used in synthesizing different organic salts and ionic liquids, which in turn can be used as a green solvent in chemical reactions. The chemical can also be used in the aim for a better leaching resistance of borate-treated wood. It is also used as a catalyst, in electrochemical synthesis, additive in catalytic systems, reductive dehalogenation of aromatic iodides, inversion of chiral amines and in steel and alloy industry |
