Paraformaldehyde, also known as Formaldehyde Resin, is an industrial chemical. It is used in industries such as manufacturing, agriculture, and medicine. It is obtained as a by-product of Formaldehyde polymerization. When the chemical is depolymerized, it gives back formaldehyde. Paraformaldehyde is a white crystalline solid chemical. It possesses an odor similar to that of formaldehyde. The chemical is slightly soluble in water.
