Ethylamine, a colorless, highly volatile liquid with an ammonia odor and an alkaline character. The aqueous solution is alkaline, chemically similar to methylamine, and has a certain melting point with inorganic acids, organic acids, acidic aromatic nitro compounds and the like. Complex salts are formed with heavy metals such as copper and silver. |
