Used in the production of pesticide triazine herbicides, including atrazine and simazine ([122-34-9]). Both herbicides use cyanuric chloride as a raw material, and the production process has similarities. Ethylamine is also used in the production of dyes, rubber accelerators, surfactants, antioxidants, ion exchange resins, aircraft fuels, solvents, detergents, lubricants, metallurgical ore dressings, and cosmetics and pharmaceuticals
Description
Ethylamine, a colorless, highly volatile liquid with an ammonia odor and an alkaline character. The aqueous solution is alkaline, chemically similar to methylamine, and has a certain melting point with inorganic acids, organic acids, acidic aromatic nitro compounds and the like. Complex salts are formed with heavy metals such as copper and silver.
