Polyethylene is the high-quality polymer material with the largest production volume at present, and polyethylene plastic ranks first in the world’s total plastic output. Low-density polyethylene is mainly used for soft products such as films and coatings. High-density polyethylene is mainly used for hard products such as bottles and boxes, and can also be made into fibers (called ethylene fibers) for the production of fishing nets, ropes, etc. UHMWPE has a series of excellent comprehensive properties, such as good resistance to environmental stress cracking, low moisture absorption, fatigue resistance, high impact resistance, etc. It can be used as wear-resistant and impact-resistant parts of textile machinery, such as skin knots, gears and gaskets, etc. Polyethylene is a thermoplastic resin obtained by addition polymerization of ethylene, referred to as PE, and has only two elements in its molecular structure, carbon and hydrogen. Non-toxic, with excellent low temperature resistance (minimum operating temperature can reach -100 ℃), good chemical stability, acid and alkali corrosion resistance (except oxidizing acid), good electrical insulation performance, but heat resistance and aging resistance Difference. Depending on the polymerization conditions, the molecular weight varies from ten thousand to several million. According to different polymerization methods, it can be divided into high pressure polyethylene, medium pressure polyethylene and low pressure polyethylene.
