Furfural is a colorless and transparent oily liquid produced by hydrolysis and dehydration of pentosane in plant fiber raw materials. It is also called furan formaldehyde. It has a special fragrance and its color quickly turns yellow under the action of light, heat, air oxidation and inorganic acid. It is brown and finally dark brown. It is also easy to polymerize and is in the form of a resin. |
