Application
L (+) - tartaric acid widely used as drinks and other food sour agent. Used as biochemical reagents, masking agents and beer foaming agent, but also for the tanning industry. L (+) - tartaric acid is widely used as a sour agent for beverages and other foods for wine, soft drinks, candy, bread, some glued dessert. The use of its optical activity, as a chemical resolving agent for the manufacture of anti-tuberculosis drug intermediates DL-aminobutanol in the separation; can also be used as chiral raw materials for the synthesis of tartaric acid derivatives; the use of its acid, as polyester fabric resin Finishing the catalyst, oryzanol production of PH regulator. Use of its complexation, used as electroplating, desulfurization, pickling and chemical analysis, pharmaceutical testing in the complexing agent, masking agent, chelating agent, printing and dyeing agent; use of its reduction, used as a chemical mirror Of the reducing agent. Photographic developer. But also with a variety of metal ions complex, can be used for metal surface cleaning agent and polishing agent
Description
Tartaric acid is a white, crystalline organic acid that occurs naturally in many fruits, most notably in grapes, but also in bananas, tamarinds, and citrus. Its salt, potassium bitartrate, commonly known as cream of tartar, develops naturally in the process of fermentation. It is commonly mixed with sodium bicarbonate and is sold as baking powder used as a leavening agent in food preparation. The acid itself is added to foods as an antioxidant E334 and to impart its distinctive sour taste. Naturally occurring tartaric acid is a useful raw material in organic chemical synthesis.
