Application
Raw material: sodium formate chemically reduces other components by providing one or more electrons. Formic acid and oxalic acid are prepared from sodium formate. Sodium formate is used to produce sodium dithionite, a common reducing bleaching chemical. Reducing bleach: sodium formate is used to improve the whiteness and color of bleach. Printing and dyeing fabrics and paper. Leather tanning: sodium formate can stabilize chromium and improve leather quality. It is used for better penetration and reduced tanning time. Deicing chemicals: sodium formate has low corrosivity and can melt rapidly compared with other deicing chemicals. Buffer: sodium formate improves the desulfurization efficiency and the utilization rate of lime absorbent. Animal feed additive: sodium formate is an effective feed additive because it can improve digestibility. Sodium formate can also be used as washing aid or enzyme stabilizer of liquid detergent. Used for dyeing, electroplating and silage preservation
