Pyromellitic dianhydride, referred to as pyromellitic dianhydride, is a pure white or light yellow crystal. In humid air, it will quickly absorb water in the air and hydrolyze to pyromellitic acid. It is miscible with acetone, dimethylformamide, dimethyl sulfoxide and other organic solvents, but insoluble in chloroform, benzene and ether. Pyromellitic dianhydride can be prepared in many ways. The raw materials used can be anthracene, xylene, trimethylene and tetra toluene. Oxidation methods include gas phase method and liquid phase method. |
