Show company
Application
It has universal applications in soaps and detergents, fertilizers, and industrial operations. It is also used in molten salts, dyes, pharmaceuticals, and photographic chemicals. KOH is commonly used in the food industry due to its excellent detergent and strong antimicrobial properties
Description
Potassium hydroxide is an inorganic compound with the formula KOH, and is commonly called caustic potash.
KOH exhibits high thermal stability. Because of its high stability and relatively low melting point, it is often melt-cast as pellets or rods, forms that have low surface area and convenient handling properties. These pellets become tacky in air because KOH is hygroscopic.
