Our perlite pool filter aid, AquaPerl, is a low crystalline silica grade perlite, and a great filter media for swimming pools. AquaPerl is made from perlite, a naturally occurring mineral that contains no chemical additives. Perlite is a natural mineral that is volcanic in origin. It is chemically inert and has a neutral pH. Perlite is lightweight, non-toxic and environmentally safe. Perlite particle sizes are carefully processed to provide optimized filtration performance. AquaPerl can be used in both DE and sand pool filtration units. With certain grades tested and certified by the National Sanitation Foundation, Aquaperl has excellent precoating qualities, even in subsequent cycles. It demonstrates excellent dirt-holding capacity and superior cake release during backwash. Although AquaPerl is only half the weight of DE, it can be used as a direct one-for-one replacement for DE in your filter. Chemically inert, non-toxic and environmentally safe, AquaPerl gives great filtration capacity, which gives the pool a sparkling clarity. Since it backwashes faster and more thoroughly, using AquaPerl means less time spent on filter cleaning and maintenance. |
