Sodium Molybdate Dihydrate

Show company
Application
Sodium molybdate is mainly used for manufacturing alkaloids, ink, fertilizers, molybdenum red pigment and light fastness pigment precipitation agent, catalyst and molybdenum salts. It is used for manufacturing fire retardants and pollution-free water system metal inhibitors. It is also used for galvanizing and as polishing agents and chemical reagents. Molybdate has low toxicity, has low pollution on environment, so it is commonly used for water treatment agent production. Sodium molybdate often used as detection agents and corrosion inhibitors. Sodium molybdate has seen a particularly strong uptick in usage among farmers of leguminous plants, such as alfalfa, peas, beans, lentils and peanuts
Description
Sodium molybdate, Na2MoO4, is useful as a source of molybdenum. This white, crystalline salt is often found as the dihydrate, Na2MoO4·2H2O. The molybdate(VI) anion is tetrahedral. Two sodium cations coordinate with every one anion.
