Show company
Application
Di-potassium phosphate is used as a buffering agent in antifreeze solution. Di-potassium phosphate forms a key ingredient for instant fertilizers. DPP is efficient source of nutrition in culturing of antibiotics. DPP is also used as sequestrant in the preparation of non-dairy powdered coffee creams. DPP is also used in production of tryptic case soy agar which is then further processed to agar plates for culturing bacteria
Description
Di-Potassium phosphate is formed when two equivalents of potassium react with phosphoric acid until the desired PH is obtained. Solution is then further dried to get fine quality white powder. Di-Potassium phosphate also known as potassium hydrogen orthophosphate and potassium phosphate dibasic, is a highly water-soluble salt which is often used as a fertilizer, food additive and buffering agent. It is a common source of phosphorus and potassium.
