Ammonium Persulfate is used as an additive in paint and coating, as a reagent for chemical synthesis, in the production of disinfectants, as a bleach activator for hair bleaching, as an oxidizer in hair dyes, and as an etchant and cleaner in the making of circuit boards. Ammonium Persulfate is also used in water decontamination and waste gas treatment. In the polymer industry, Ammonium Persulfate is used as a catalyst in the making process of polyacrylamide gels used for protein and nucleic acid analysis. In the paper industry, Ammonium Persulfate is used for starch modification, pulping and cold bleaching for paper production |
