Monopotassium Phosphate

Show company
Application
It is used as a fungicide and in a nutrient solution, special fertilizers, non-linear optical material for laser applications, and wastewater purification. It is employed as a buffering agent in pH calculations, paper processing, pharmaceuticals, urinary acidifiers, baking powder, and food products. It is used to prepare buffer solutions for affinity capillary electrophoresis (ACE), high-performance liquid chromatography(HPLC), and equilibrium dialysis. It is used as a phosphorylating agent in chemical synthesis and to produce collagen nanocomposites and prosthetics devices
Description
Monopotassium phosphate (MKP) (also, potassium dihydrogen phosphate, KDP, or monobasic potassium phosphate) is the inorganic compound with the formula KH2PO4. Together with dipotassium phosphate (K2HPO4.(H2O)x) it is often used as a fertilizer, food additive, and buffering agent. The salt often co-crystallizes with the dipotassium salt as well as with phosphoric acid.
