Ethylene Glycol Diacetate

Show company
Application
EGDA, environment-friendly solvent with high boiling point, is characterized by high solubility, good compatibility, faster drying than DBE, normal application at relatively low temperature, low odor, non-toxicity, etc. It is mainly used in coating, ink and resin industries and partially substitutes solvents with high boiling point like cyclohexanone, isophorone and DBE. EGDA also has the property of improving leveling, adjusting drying rate of paint film. In addition, it can applied as solvent for floor brightener, leather brightener, cleaning agent, cosmetics, medicine and spice
Description
Ethylene glycol diacetate (EGDA) is an acetic acid ester of ethylene glycol. It is widely used as a hardener for silicates. The predicted values of the torsion angles and bond angles are found to be in agreement with the crystal structure data on the benzoate derivatives of ethylene glycol.
